Terms of use

1. The service

Room lets you create a public room at the site address followed by your username, place objects in it and attach content: links, music, photos, projects, a bio and social profiles.

The free plan has no time limit. The paid Room+ plan is governed by the terms of sale.

2. Your account

• You must be at least 16 years old, or have the consent of a legal guardian.
• The information you give must be accurate, in particular your email address.
• You are responsible for keeping your password secret and for what is done from your account.
• One account is for one person or project. Selling accounts or usernames is not allowed.

3. Your username

Your username is public and unique. It must not impersonate another person or a brand, or be confusing with the service itself. We may remove or change a username that breaks these rules, or that is the subject of a well-founded claim by a rights holder.

4. Your content

You keep ownership of what you publish. You grant us a free, non-exclusive, worldwide licence, limited to what is needed to host, resize, display and share your content as part of the service, for as long as your account exists.

You confirm you hold the necessary rights to the photos, texts and links you publish. You may not publish, or link to:

• illegal, hateful, harassing or violent content, or content that violates human dignity;
• sexually explicit content, or any sexual content involving minors;
• personal data of other people without their consent;
• content that infringes copyright, trademarks or other rights of third parties;
• phishing pages, malware, scams or spam.

5. Moderation and reports

To report a room, write to [to be completed : email] with its address and the reason for your report.

If these terms are broken, we may remove content, hide a room or suspend an account, where possible after warning you. In cases of serious abuse or manifestly illegal content, we may act without notice.

6. Availability

We do our best to keep the service available and your data backed up. The service is however provided as is, without any guarantee of uninterrupted availability. Keep a copy of the photos that matter to you.

7. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damages, and our liability for other damages is limited to the amounts paid for the service in the last twelve months. This limitation does not apply to intentional misconduct or gross negligence.

8. Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time from the Account page; your room, photos and data are then erased. An active Room+ subscription must be cancelled first.

We may close an account in case of serious or repeated breach of these terms.

9. Changes

We may update these terms. Significant changes are announced at least 30 days in advance. If you keep using the service after they take effect, you accept them.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by Swiss law. The place of jurisdiction is the operator’s registered address, subject to the mandatory rules protecting consumers, in particular those of their country of residence.
